Nursery Class Rules
1. We listen to the teachers. (We show that we listen by looking and keeping our bodies still.)
2. We are nice to others. (We share our toys with the other children. We play with everybody without excluding any other children. We speak in a nice voice, we don’t yell at each other. We never push or hit other children. We try to look friendly when we talk to other children.)
3. We help to keep our classroom clean. (We tidy up our classroom after playing. We put rubbish after finishing our snacks in the bin.)
4. We play safely inside. (We don’t run in the classroom. We don’t throw the toys in the air as this can hurt somebody else.)
5. We don’t shout in the classroom. (We use our inside voices in class. If everybody shouts we will end up with headache at the end of the day.)
6. We play safely outside. (We can run outside but we have to be careful, so we don’t bump into the other children and accidently hurt them. We should take turns on the swing, slide, tricycle, etc. We never throw sand into the air.)
If children make wrong choices, they follow the consequences procedure.
