At the end we took a photo of each student and their mums in a special picture frame. See more photos here. (The photos will be uploaded later.)
In the Graduation Certificates that the students received at the end of year it said 'Successfully finished Nursery Class'. It was so nice to see the children holding their certificates with such pride. Each student also received a Summer Activity Book and a little book of Maths activities as well as a little bag of candies. At the end we took a photo of each student and their mums in a special picture frame. See more photos here. (The photos will be uploaded later.)

Swimming lesson has always been one of the favourite among almost all the Foundation students and most of them became much more confident in the water. Just before the last Swimming lesson of term Nursery and Reception children were proud to receive Certificates of Achievement from Ms. Hackett. Thank you to Ms. Hackett for making the Swimming lessons so much fun! More photos to follow. As we were progressing through our Water topic, the children looked at how water changes when some water detergent is added. Ye Seo's mum very kindly gave us the soap bubble makers enough for the whole class and it was just on time! The children went outside several times to explore the bubble making and enjoyed it very much! Mr. Matt has also shown us how the bubble gun works to the delight and excitement of everybody! During the last two months of term the whole school was involved in a big Science competition. There was no particular theme, each class was supposed to present some of their recent work related to Science. In Nursery we presented our discoveries about butterfly life cycle. The students' work was displayed in the secondary Science Department along everybody else's submissions. See more about our butterfly life cycle studies here. (The photos will be added soon.) By now most of the children can recognise some or many letters of the alphabet and recall their sounds. They now get interested in more activities involving print. On one of the afternoons this week we played the Alphabet Bingo game that the children enjoyed very much.
The children loved this humorous song about sea creatures and asked to play it again and again! Watch and listen to it here.
This week we read two famous Rainbow Fish stories by Marcus Pfister. These books gave us an opportunity to talk about friendships, sharing and being nice to each other. These are always relevant and important topics to discuss in Nursery class. Two story videos will be added soon.
