Fruit tasting
The next day after our shopping we started from tasting some fruit and finding out which one was sour and which one was sweet. We tried some apples and kiwi fruit.
There was one fruit that we didn't know the name of. According to Ms. Tessa Chinese people call it pineapple berry. None of the Nursery children seemed to be familiar with it and nobody wanted to try it, except for Ryoga. And... he liked it!
Tasting the watermelon...Oops!
The watermelon was quite heavy. Everybody was looking forward to eating one, but when we cut it open...it turned out to be yellow and not very sweet... Although I heard there were yellow watermelons out there, it still looked a little suspicious. So we decided not to risk eating it. Still it was a learning experience for the children - apparently watermelons can be yellow inside!
Tasting the pineapple
We looked at the pineapple's skin and how it was rough to touch. Bobby and Aimee were quite happy to pretend they were pineapples!
We smelled the pineapple. We all agreed it smelled delicious!
Now chopping...
Finally eating the pineapple! It turned out that not everybody liked pineapple but it was certainly enjoyed by those who tried it. We didn't forget to talk about how good it was for our health. :)
