Pink Dough - Week 11
It was one of those last afternoon sessions when some of the children were still asleep after the nap time was finished and the rest of them were boiling with energy. So Ms Tessa and I decided to use our pink food colouring to make pink play dough for the children to play. Who doesn't like pink in our class? ALL of the children love it!
First we mixed pink food colouring with water. We made sure it was rich pink colour, so that our dough was pink enough. PINK!
We mixed one part of flour with half part of salt.
Then we added our pink water and a little bit of oil. While I was busy kneading the dough, Bobby and Jenny enjoyed creating patterns with the flour that was spilled on the table. Usually I give the children a chance to knead by themselves but it was our last lesson and they only had short time to play.
Finally the dough was ready. It WAS nice and pink! Of course we took out our box with the stencils, rollers, etc. By this time Won Jong woke up. =)
And off they went creating all sorts of shapes, using their tireless imagination!
