Please don't forget to check the updates on Diary, Term 3 page here. I have changed the format of the diary back to the way it was at the beginning of the year, hoping that the blog format will help me to get the news about our class events quicker.

Please note that this Friday, 19th April there will be Sports Day in primary school that will last from 10:45 am till 2:30 pm. Beginning from 22nd April the whole school is going to enjoy lots of fun activities related to reading during the Book Week. There will be many activities encouraging and promoting love for reading books. The secondary students will come and read books with the younger ones, teachers will read stories in different year groups. There will be a book swap day where the children will be able to swap their old books for the different ones from other children. On Friday, 26th April all the students and the teachers will come to school dressed up as book characters. Primary school parents will be invited to watch our special assembly and join in the book related activities in their children’s classes. More information to follow! I was planning to spend some time updating the site during the April holiday but unfortunately I had some worrying news about my Mum's health so tomorrow I am going to Moscow. I will be helping to look after my mum and I doubt that I will have much time to use the computer. Apologies again for the possible delay in the recent updates.
Hope you all have an enjoyable holiday and see you in a week's time. As part of the April holiday homework the children had computer mouse practice assignment. Please have some short sessions with your child in front of the computer to help them develop their mouse control skills. The websites your child will be using will also help to practise their various skills in Maths and Literacy. http://www.iboard.co.uk/teacher/trisnursery During the open morning we had a short meeting with the parents where we discussed some issues regarding the everyday life in Nursery. Please read about what we have discussed here.
Thank you to all the parents for your continuous support! We have had one of the busiest weeks at school with the Nursery class assembly, a trip to the Polar Ocean World and the open morning for parents. It all turned out a success, the children are excited and most importantly safe and sound! I will upload the photos during our upcoming holiday in April.
Apologies for the lack of the recent updates. This is due to several reasons however I am not giving up on the site. Ms. Tessa and I are still taking photos of all the interesting moments in class and I hope to manage to upload them as soon as certain issues are resolved. Thank you to all the parents for your support and patience.
As we are getting some new students with limited English I thought it would help to have a list of some useful classroom vocabulary and phrases that parents could practice with their children at home to make the transition period smoother. More useful vocabulary and phrases will be added with time. |
