On Friday, 10th May Nursery and Reception classes went outside to the little garden to do some planting. As Mr. Matt is quite knowledgeable about gardening and he has all his strength to do some digging, he led this activity for both classes. We replanted our remaining beanstalks and planted more beans. Mr. Matt also showed Nursery students the little shoots of tomatoes and sunflowers that they planted with Reception class. It was a lovely day outside and a great hands on activity for the children.

As was promised we put those fantastic pictures that the parents created with their children on the classroom display. The children enjoyed singing the story while looking at those pictures they made with their mums. See more about the whole Bear Hunt project and the photo of the display here. Our trip to Meijiang park went well. The children enjoyed looking at as many signs of spring as they could find. They were excited to see many different colour flowers, bees, butterflies and birds. They were really interested in many insects they saw on the ground. We found a nice place for the children to have their snacks by the lake Most importantly after lots of running around everybody was safe and sound by the end of the trip! See the photos here. This is how tall our beanstalks have grown over the short holiday! Here you can read about our growing beans adventure so far. |
